At the heart of the 1,200-hectare estate, 110 hectares of AOC Coteaux d\u2019Aix-en-Provence grape vines and 60 hectares of olive trees are cultivated across a large and contiguous expanse of beautiful south-facing land. climat &#8211; Vignoble&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; text_font=&#8221;||||||||&#8221; text_text_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;dark&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<strong>11 grape varieties thrive at Calissanne:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For the reds and ros\u00e9s: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourv\u00e8dre, Grenache Noir, Cinsault and Vermentino;<\/li>\n<li>For the whites: Rolle, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Ugni and S\u00e9millon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A temperate Mediterranean climate\u2026<\/strong><br \/>\nIn Calissanne\u2019s special terroir, the Mediterranean climate \u2013 hot and dry (annual rainfall: 550 mm) \u2013 is tempered by the sea air, and bathes the vineyard in generous sunshine.<br \/>\nOur vines are cultivated with care, with low yields the goal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A living vineyard and many plantations\u2026<\/strong><br \/>\nThe annual production mix at Ch\u00e2teau Calissanne is 50% ros\u00e9, 40% red and 10% white.<br \/>\nA big effort has been made with red-wine production.<br \/>\nA total of 40 hectares has been replanted over a seven-year period.
