Château Calissanne wished to pay tribute to La Bonne Mère through a very distinctive collection of wines. Crafted as red, rosé and white cuvées, they stand out notably through their labels, which resonate on two levels: first with the rich history of the city of Marseille, and secondly with the heritage of our estate.

HOMMAGE À LA BONNE MÈRE
Since 1853, a unique bond has connected the quarries of Château Calissanne with the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde in Marseille. This special connection has become a lasting part of Marseille’s heritage and radiates throughout Provence.
We have created a one-of-a-kind collection, Hommage à la Bonne Mère: three wines and two olive oils with DPO designations—Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, Provence, and Aix-en-Provence—that continue our longstanding commitment into the 21st century.
Since 1853, Château Calissanne has been deeply rooted in Marseille’s heritage. Today, this history continues through a solidarity-based collection dedicated to the restoration of the statue of the Virgin Mary at Notre-Dame de la Garde, an emblematic monument of Marseille.
For each bottle purchased, €1 is donated to the Diocese of Marseille, contributing to the preservation of this historic and cultural symbol of the Phocaean city.

A beautiful bright carmine-red color, with aromas that immediately express red fruits such as blackcurrant and ripe cherry. After a few minutes, hints of licorice and toasted notes appear on the nose. The tannins are silky, the palate is smooth and indulgent.
